MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Dolphins are bringing in a shocking addition at tight finish — and it’s a reputation many thought was performed with soccer.
Veteran tight finish Darren Waller is coming out of retirement to join the Dolphins, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero confirmed Tuesday.
Miami labored out a trade with the New York Giants, who nonetheless held Waller’s rights regardless of his retirement.

It’s basically a free decide for New York for a participant who had already walked away from the sport — and a low-risk flier for Miami on a pass-catcher who, at his finest, was among the many league’s elite.
Waller reportedly solely needed to return to the NFL if it meant enjoying in Miami, and now he’ll get that likelihood.
