MIAMI – The battle for the Miami Dolphins backup quarterback seems to be settled.
As first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Dolphins are releasing quarterback Mike White.
White had signed with the Dolphins final season after enjoying with the Jets.
White and Skylar Thompson each backed up Tua Tagovailoa final season.
Both White and Thompson have been competing all of camp for that backup job.
With White out of the image, the job seems to belong to Thompson.
The roster transfer saves the Dolphins $3.5M towards the wage cap.
