
PITTSBURGH — The Miami Dolphins’ lone second-round decide (No. 43 overall) went to Texas Tech linebacker Jacob Rodriguez.
Rodriguez, 23, pressured 13 fumbles, recovered 5 and had six interceptions in his profession as a Red Raider.
He was voted the 2025 Big 12 Defensive Player of the (*43*) and received the 2025 Chuck Bednarik Award, given to the highest defensive participant in school soccer.
Rodriguez will be a part of a linebacker group anchored by Jordyn Brooks, who led the Dolphins with 183 tackles final season.
As of Friday, the Dolphins’ draft capital consists of:
