Dwyane Wade reveals battle with cancer in post on social media

Former Miami Heat famous person Dwyane Wade made a surprising revelation on social media.

Wade posted on his Instagram web page that he was identified with Stage 1 cancer in December of 2023.

He stated his prognosis meant dropping 40% of his kidney.

“It’s a scary thing to face,” Wade wrote in the post. “My dad’s own health journey taught me the importance of being proactive.”

Wade performed 17 seasons in the NBA, together with 15 with the Heat, the staff that drafted him third total in 2003.

Wade was a 13-time NBA All-Star and three-time NBA Champion. He received a gold medal on the 2008 Beijing Olympics and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023.
